Nostalgic & Historic black and white photographs

Days Gone By are pleased to be an associate retailer of the Francis Frith Collection. We are able to offer you the opportunity to access the Francis Frith Archive - comprising over 7000 UK towns - historic photos, ariel photographs, books and maps.

The Frith archive was founded by Francis Frith, the pioneer Victorian photographer, in 1860 and today contains over 365,000 photographs of some 7,000 towns and villages throughout Britain. Taken between 1860 and 1970 these form a topographical record of Britain without equal and is recognised as probably the only photographic collection of national importance in private hands in Britain today.

Our memories make us what we are - the places we grew up, went to school, spent favourite holidays, or the church where we were married. With a personal story behind every photo, map & book, a Frith gift is perfect for any occasion.

Below is a just a sample of the many towns in the Francis Frith archive, simply click on any of the links below or use the search facility to browse the collection & then place your order through the Francis Frith web site.
