A superb thing, all metal apart from the red light covers, an essential member of any collection of early space-age toys. The legs move rigidly backwards and forwards as it trundles along on small hidden underfoot wheels. From time to time it stops and stands still; the doors in its chest open, gun barrels protrude and flash brightly. The torso then revolves completely three times before the stately progress begins again. Requires 2 x D batteries.

Tin Clockwork Neck And Neck Game £29.95
A real retro-style game from Schylling. The race-track is hinged and unfolds to form a steeple-chase. The metal horses and riders are lined up on the start, the handle is turned and cardboard track begins to vibrate back and forth, making the horses race along the track. As they race, they pass 'obstacles' (slots in the track) which can slow their progress. The track itself is well-finished and nicely detailed, as are the horses, with nostalgic packaging making it an appealing collector's piece.
